Visitors online on the Dashboard

In the “Status” column, sites with the plugin show a people icon and a number: the visitors active on the site in the last 5 minutes (the tooltip says “Online now”). The number refreshes every minute, and the icon lights up when it is above zero.

The Globe

To see where the visits come from, open the site page → Analytics → Globe: a rotating 3D globe or a flat map, sessions by place or by country, a timeline to replay the period and new visits arriving live. Points on the map need the site behind Cloudflare. See Globe: visitors on the map.

Costs

Free.

Tips

  • Watch the online numbers during a campaign launch, and open the site’s Globe on a second screen to see the new visits arrive.

Troubleshooting

What you seeWhat to do
The online counter on the Dashboard always shows 0Nobody may be on the site — or the plugin is outdated or unreachable, in which case the counter quietly shows 0. Update the plugin.

FAQ

Who counts as online?

A visitor whose browser reported activity in the last 5 minutes. The plugin’s tracker runs in the browser, so bots without JavaScript are not counted.

Where is the full analytics of visits?

On the site’s Analytics tab: see Traffic and the Globe.
